This is a brief showcase of the traditional transferal of knowledge in Native cultures, to the ways in which the Western world sought to teach and assimilate Indigenous peoples. Given this past, I explore some modern day efforts by Native people to recover the forms of traditional education and culture that have been ripped apart by Western institutions.
