Maryland Loyalism Project

The Memorial of William Kennedy

William Kennedy, farmer, joined Lord Dunmore’s forces in 1776 and served the British throughout the war. He appears to have departed the United States in 1783.

Some themes his Loyalist Claim Commission memorial suggest include confiscation and military service.
