Mr Robert Christie…. Sworn
Knew Mr Button at Baltimore always under=
stood him to be very loyal and that he had quitted //
Maryland on that account. –
He had ^been settled at Baltimore for some time—He
possessed a Wharf and Water Lot on Fells Point with
some Buildings upon it—There was a Dwelling House
some warehouses and small Buildings—The Warehouses
were Brick.—
Cannot himself speak to the value but he knows
two or three of the Persons valuing the same (the names
are read over to him) says they are Men of Character—
Being told the Amount of the Valuation and asked
what he thinks of it—Says he never looked upon the //
Buildings with so critical an Eye as to form a Valuan
of them—but as far as he is able to Judge he thinks it
greatly beyond the Mark—He would not have given
£900 Sterling for the Premises—and he thinks Mr Button
wou’d have found a great difficulty to have got that
Sum in Money.—

Knew the Claimant in Baltimore before the
Troubles He appeared to be well attached to this Country
Knew his Buildings at Fells Point—They were new
Buildings but did not know enough of them to form
any Idea of their value.
They were always deemed his.—

Claimant was well known to him— he was a very—
Staunch Loyalist and believes he was under the
