Hansons Improvement with the Mills he believes were
in the undisputed Possession of Tottrells Heirs. –
As to the other Articles he cannot speak to the Title of
them but understood there were Lands in Frederick County
belonging to Mr Tottrell.
With respect to the value of the Fee Mr Alexander computes
the size of the Lots from the Map produced, and comparing that
with his own Recollection of the Spot—he says according to the
value of other Property in the same situation—he should
estimate these Lots in Baltimore at £1620 Sterling as they
stood in 1775—He cant pretend to say what fanciful value
might be afterwards put upon them
As to the value of the Money at the time of the sale of
the Property he never coud get any satisfactory Information
as to its value relatively to Sterling
As to the value of Welch’s Adventure he has mentioned
before—Mr Carrol was offered £400 Sterling if he wod
make a good Title—and sold it as it stood for £150—
As to the Meadow, it was what he had thoughts of
purchasing—He offered £15 Currency per Acre for it
provided the Title has been good
