This carte-de-viste shows Otherday wearing a Euro-American style suit, gloves, and a fabric draped over his right shoulder. He is also holding an ax. The description reads "Anpetu-tokeca (Otherday), who rescued sixty-two persons from the Indian Massacre of 1862 in Minnesota." The photo was taken between 1864-1865. This is part of the Dakota War carte-de-visite.
