Visualizing Dickinson's Textual Variants: Digital Humanities and Interactive Networks

Acknowledgements

I want to specially thank Prof. Marta Werner for her support towards this project. I know that you've always pushed us beyond our immediate boundary of studying the texts to looking at the implementation of other forms of understanding text in its original form.

I'm grateful for the collaborative efforts of my colleagues,
Samantha Chipman and Ria De. The time and effort put into this research together with the help of Prof. Werner, produced two international conferences that have helped shaped this project.

I am grateful for the support I received from Dr Elizabeth Hopwood, my advisor and the Director for the Center for Textual Studies and Digital Humanities, Loyola University Chicago. She brought a new focus to the capstone and Dickinson scholarship. Many thanks to all my colleagues and friends at the Digital Humanities program for always challenging me to get the project done.

With the support from the Director for The Center for Data Science and Consulting, Prof Greg Matthews, I was able to understand and visualize my data using R studio. Also, I must acknowledge The Women Writers Project at Northeastern for the training on data wrangling and the help I received using counting_robot to extract data from the TEI files.

Lastly, my appreciation goes to God for the Grace and Gift of life and for giving me a wonderful family, lovely wife and a handsome son.
