             To the Commissioners appointed by Act
             of Parliament for enquiring into the
             Losses and Services of the American Loys
 
             The Memorial of Elizth Dulany Wo
             of Lloyd Dulany formly of Annapolis
Sheweth—
                           That your Memorialists Husband was
             of a family which had long executed the Offices
             of chief trust in the government of Maryland
             and was possessed of very considerable property
             and your Memorialist herself was the daur
             of a Chief Justice of Maryland and was mistress
             of a fortune deemed handsome in the Country,
             that your Memorialists husband from the
             commencement of the late American troubles
             in no one instance departed from his—
             allegiance but on the contrary set himself
             vigorously in opposition to every movement
             that tended to disturb the connection betwn
             the parent state and the Colonies, and for
             some time rendered considerable service to
             the cause he espoused. In particular he drew
             up and signed a protest agt a resolution
             entered into at Annapolis, forbidding all
