Yearly about £350 Sterling your Memorialist has been
now deprived nine Years; and of Consequence has lost about
£3,150 Sterling after Deducting £710 which he has –
received at the Treasury, as Subsistence, all which –
Losses he Humbly Submits to the Justice of this Board

Your Memorialist therefore prays that his Case
may be taken into your consideration in order that
your Memorialist may be enabled under your –
Report, to receive such Aid and Relief as his losses
and Services may be found to deserve. –
And he will ever pray.

Memorandum
As a proof your Memorialist has annexed hereunto a –
Certificate of Several Inhabitants of Maryland Attested by –
William and Robert Molleson of the City of London –
Merchants and the Reverend Doctor Samuel Carr Rector
of Saint Andrew Undershaft London to which is Subscribed
a Recommendation from the Right Revd Richd. late
Lord Bishop of London Deceased Dated August 22nd 1776
recommending your Petitioner to his Grace the then Lord
Archbishop of Canterbury to be relieved with a Sum of
£50 out of the money then collected for the Distressed
American Clergy.
