of Debts at Interest. Great Part have been Discharged in
Depreciated Money whereby a great Loss has been sustained
insomuch that he doubts whether there will be sufficient
to Discharge all the Legacies so as to leave him any Residue

Robert Alexander Esqr     Sworn.
as to Taskers Chance Dulany’s Lot Albins Choice & Spring
Garden.
            Says he recollects that as long ago as 1763. there were
sevl Farms cultivd upon the Lands called Taskers Chance,
Some of the Houses were of Wood others of Stone.
            He remembers Mr Dulany was beginning to Build a
House - when he saw it the Foundn was raised just above
the ground and he only saw it at a distance. It
was a little lower down that the Land lay for which
he heard Mr Dulany had refused £1400 Currency.
            Thinks it was from the Man who wanted to buy it
that he heard this.
            Says^he should suppose the whole Tract upon an average
would have fetched £5 Currency an acre.
Ground Rents.
                                    where the Leases were for ever
The Usual Value of Ground Rents was 16 ye 2/3ds ^
Hunting Ridge.
Says there was a Dwelling and large Barn with a good
deal of Cultivd Land- but he thought the uncleared Land
was the most valuable.
            Thinks the value of this Land was from about
£3 to £5 per acre Currency.
            Refers to his Evidence on the Iron Works given in Mr
Montgomery’s Case.
He cannot speak to any other part of the property

Robert Smith Esqr   Sworn.
Taskers Chance    Knew the part of Taskers Chance where
Mr Dulany was Building a House - He cannot say
exactly when ^it was he saw it - There seemed to be a very con:
= siderable Improvement and there are several well
Cultivd Farms. The Lands appeared to be good. -
There were sevl Tenants. He cant say how many -
Remembers being present with Mr Dulany at a Tavern
when his Bailiff came to pay him the Rents. It
