Any Security for the Purpose of remaining quiet believes
he was insulted frequently he must have often made
shifts to Keep out of the way of being troubled.
Says he Knows Claimant was possessed of great wealth
in that Country and has a general knowledge of its
nature, says it was well known the Estates were
Conveyed to Claimant, does not know whether the
deed was recorded it was necessary to record all deeds
till about 1772 it was not necessary to record Conveyances
by Leave and Release but a Law was made to require
it.
As to the Frederick Town Property
Had a very valuable Tract of Lands in this district
upon which he had Tenements Dont know the annual
Rents, Claimant was Building a large House on part
of this Land Can form no Judgment of the value
of this Property.
Says the Father superintended the whole of the Son’s
Property but should apprehend the Claimant must
be in the Rec.t of the Rents.
Estate near Baltimore Town
Knew that Claimant had a Place called Hunting
Ridge near Baltimore Town, says it was left to Claimant
By M.r Tasker his Grandfather.
Says the Chief value of this Estate arose from its situat.n
the Lands were poor, it was a Summer Retreat, there
was a Store House of no great value, is not a good
Judge of the value of Land there but should according
to such Opinion as he can form value it at 3 Guineas
Per Acre, there was very little Cultivation it was
