                                                      July 13th 1786.
Evidence on the foregoing Memorial of Danl Wolstenholme

Claimant sworn—
             Memorial read and sworn to.—
Certificate from Govr Eden subjoined to the Meml
Read
Says in the year of 1760 he was appointed Collector
of the Customs at North Potowmack—
               Produces his Commission.—
Says his Employment ceased in Ocr 1775 but he has
been paid his Salary up to Apl 1783—at the rate of
£60 per Annum—

1          His Claim is chiefly for the Loss of his Office
which consisted of this Salary of £60 per Annum—
and perquisites from Fees &C- £270 Str per annum
2           His next Claim is for the Expence of a Journey
to philadelphia where he was detained by Sickness
for 5 Months—These Expences amount to abt £200
3           Withdraws the 3d Article in his Claim—
4           The 4th Article is a Loss of £102,,2,,4 Str having a
Bond paid off in depreciated Currancy.—
               With draws his Claim for the remaining Articles
of Loss in his Schedule except losing his situation as
Agent to Messrs Hanbury which produced him about £200
Str per Annum—
              Says his Wife and Family are at present in Maryld
and he is about to return thither—He has never taken
the oath to the State there.—

Robert Smith Esqr – Sworn.
Knows Mr Wolstenholme was Collector of the Customs
and a County Clerk appointed after. his (Mr Smiths)
arrival—He was a Man of very good Character and
a thorough Loyalist—Says he thinks the County
