The Revd Bennett Allen Sworn
Says he quitted America in 1775 his Sister remained
behind him. Says he wrote To her a Letter (which is produced)
authorizing her to dispose of what belonged to him in that
County.
Says he believes his Sister did advance the sevl
Articles she mentioned and to the amount she has mentd
for the Assistance of British Prisoners.
Believes the other Articles are moderately stated.

Robt Smith Esqr Sworn
Knew the Claimant Miss Allen at Frederick
Town between 1775 and 1780. Never heard of her having
conducted herself otherwise than as a Loyalist.
Heard she had exposed herself to the resentment of
the People for her Attentions to the British Officers and
Soldiery. Heard she had assisted them.
