Evidence on the Case of the Revd Henry Addison

Revd Jonathan Boucher Attorney to the Claimant- Sworn
            Meml read- he confirms the Contents thereof
Certificate to Loyalty from Sir Robt Eden
Mr Addison is now in Maryland, at the Commencemt
of the Troubles he was a resident in Prince Georges County. Claimant
is a native of America he always took part with the British Governmt
In 1775 he came under the Protection of the British afterwards came
to England were he remained about 4 or 5 years then went to New
York where he staid till the Evacuation and then with Lord Dorchesters
Permission went to Maryland to endeavour to recover his Property where
he has remained ever since that time. Says he has every reason to
believe Mr Addison has not taken the Oaths to the State from what
he has heard from him Mr Addison intends to return to England as soon
as he can settle his affairs in Maryland.
                                    Property.
No 1 A Plantation called Addisons Choice containing 763 Acres
            Says Claimant became possessed of this Property under the
Will of his Father. Claimant had been in possession of it many
years. Says part of it was Cultivated but the uncultivated part was
more valuable than the Cultivated on acct of the Timber. The Cultivated
part Mr Addison let. this is valued at £3945,,7:6 Stg Currency
because it was sold for that Sum under Confiscation.
            Mr Boucher says tis out of his Power to say what these
Lands were worth before the War but refers to the Valuation made by Srs
