M.r Shepheard says with respect to the Accounts
preceding the Year 1768 they are so very irregularly
stated that it is not easy to collect any thing material
from them - Col. Lloyd had been the Agent, and was
so very irregular in his Accounts that Lord Baltimore
was obliged to remove him & to issue a Commission
for examining & auditing his Accounts.
With respect to the account of Remittances, M.r
Shepheard being questioned whether there may not
have been as well for the Sales of Lands as for the
Revenues, Says that the Agent accounted only for the
Receipts on Account of the Annual Revenue; There
were Commissioners for the Sale of Lands who accounted
separately for the Sales thereof*
