Rev.d M.r Edmiston Sworn
Was well acquainted with a great part of the Property
of the late M.r Dulany in Baltimore County.
He remembers the Valley of Jehosaphat—this was
held by M.r Dulany himself—it was very good Land—thinks
there was about 1/3.d Cleared on this Tract.
Says he thinks the whole of this Tract woud have
sold for 5 Guineas per acre before the war.
Says Dulanys Park was not so valuable as the
Valley of Jehosaphat.
Knew the Iron Work at Baltimore always understood
they were not profitable to the Proprietors.
Says Piney Grove and Hinchliffe Range he has heard
was sold to M.rs Dulany very reasonable—it was chiefly Wood
Land. M.r Dulany built a Barn on it—dont know if any
part was Cultivated.
Knew the Mansion House in Annapolis it was
a Brick House—thinks it was worth  £1,000 Currency.
Knew the Moiety of a Lot and Windmill—it was
not very profitable to M.r Dulany—thinks it could not
be worth much.
Knew the Tract called Sewell a great part of it
was very good and a great part of it very bad, thinks the best was
worth 5 Guineas per acre and the worst upon an average at 20/s
an acre Currency.
