The Common Price of vacant Lands paid the Propr
was £5 Stg per 100 Acres for Common Lands where Lands had
[illeg] and there were Improvements then the Price was
Enhanced—
Says it was a Speculation in which the Parties
might gain, but coud not loose as the price of Land was—
rapidly increasing in those parts.
The value of Mr Bouchers living was between 250
and £300 per Annum as he believes—

James Brooks Esqr Sworn—
Says generally that Mr Boucher was esteemed to
possess good Property both real and personal.
Has been on the farm at the Lodge which was in good
Order—Believes that before the War it woud have sold for
3 Gs an acre—
Knows he had a good many Slaves but does not know how many.
Says he was concerned with him in taking out a Warrt
for some back Lands—In the Warrant for ^in which Mr Boucher
was concerned with him he had 2000 Acres—Believes they
were at the expence of abt £200 Stg each share—Says he
sold his own Share during the War for continental Money
which was equivalent to 4/6 Stg Per. Acre—Had given to one
of his Partners 9/ Curry for 150 Acres of the same Land.
He apprehends these Lands are Confiscated as Mr
Boucher’s under the general Act—The Person to whom he
