            Every thing in the House of Furniture &c he values at £1000 Stg
Homing pot plantation.
                        Says this was given to Sir Robt Eden by Lord Baltimore
            He refers to Mr Smith for the Title. It was about 14 Miles
            from Annapolis. The House was an indifferent one,
            The Land was mostly cleared. Is unable to value it.
16000 Acres of back Land.
                        Refers to Mr Smith to expain Sir Robt Edens right
            to this Land and for all Circumces respecting it.
                        Knows nothing of the House Negroes, Nor of the
            Slaves or Stock on the plantn except that there were
            such things there.
                        Does not know of any Mortgage or Incumbce upon
            the property. There was a Mortgage upon part but
            it was paid off before Sir Robt Eden’s Death.

                        Was Secy to Sir Robt Eden before and at the
            Commencemt of the Troubles.
                        Says he did every Thing in his power to support the
            British Govt in Maryland both in his public and
            private Capacity.
                                    property.
As to the House at Annapolis.
                        Says he himself paid the Money for the purche
            of the House.      Says the House underwent a thorough
            Repair from top to bottom. He built two new Wings
            completed the Stables and paled the Garden all round
            besides making the Wharf.   Says he believes Sir
            Robt laid out full £3000 Sterling in addl Buildings
            and substantial Repairs.
                        Says he thinks it was worth £5000 Ster at the time
            Sir Robt Eden came away - for the origl purche
            was thought a great Bargain.
                        Says Mr Chase offered £3000 Sterg for the House
            in 1780 after it had been greatly damaged pending
            the War - He offered to give good Bills on Engd
            or France in payment.
                        Says this House is by a special Act of the
