            If they mean they possessed that Quantity upon the River
            he should think they could not have it, if they mean
            it at a distance from the River, it might be they had it,
            but he cannot say precisely whether they had or had not
this Tract -
Should suppose if they were 5000 Acres abt. Kingsbury
Works, that they were worth about 3,,10 pr. Acre - The
Lands at Lancaster were both worse in Quality and
more distant from Baltimore, and those he thinks
were worth abt. £2-10 per acre -
Charles Wright Esqr. - a Claimant - Sworn.
Says he is one of the partners of the Principio
Company and has been concerned ever since the year
1765. Says he became possessed of his share by the
Death of his Wife’s Father. -
Being asked whether Mr. Baxter was the Companys
Agent in Maryland at that time - Says he was not -
He died in 1763 - or 1764, and was succeeded by Mr -
Thomas Russell -
Mr. Wright says he continued to receive his Share
of the Net produce from the time of his Father in Laws
Death till the breaking out of the Troubles -
The account of the annual net produce of an
Eighth Share or Part in the Principio Companys
Iron Works in America from the year 1747, to 1772.
is shewn to Mr. Wright, and he is asked whether the same
is a true Account - He says it is. -
Being asked whether there was any general
Settlement at any time made shewing what was the
State of the property at any particular period of time
says there was not. -
Being asked whether the Schedule delivered in contains
to his Knowledge a true Statement of the Companys
Property - Says having been extracted from the
Company’s Books he believes it to contain an
Authentic Statement of their Property.
Being questioned as to the 5000 Acres said to be
Purchd. of Mrs. Calvert - He says he apprehends
