            There is a Memorandum at the Foot that the Salary
was to be £100 Currency for one year.
            Says this was a private Appointment by Mr Jennifer
which he held till be came away.
Register of Shipping
            He has not the Appointment by him. He was appointed
by the Governor during good behaviour. Received his Appointmt
very soon after his arrival in the Province. His business was to
issue the Registers on all Shipping built or sold in the Province
and his fee was a Pistole for every Register. He estimates the
annual averaged Profits at £30 Sterling per annum. The
Port of Annapolis included that of Baltimore.
            Desires to explain a circumstance mentioned in his
Memorial. Vizt that he has no other resource than his allce
from Government. He says that he has indeed the Income
of a small Sum in the Stocks under £50 per annum which
is settled on his Wife and Children, but he is nevertheless
embarrassed.

Robert Smith Esqr Sworn.
            Says Mr Eddis acquitted himself in Maryland with
Zeal and Attachment to Great Britain. His Exertions were
as great as in his Power lay.
            Knows he held the sevl Appointments mentd by him
but he cannot ascertain the Amount of them.

James Brooks Esqr Sworn
            Says the Salary of Commr of the loan Office was £90 Stg per Ann
            Mr Eddis had £60 per ann Stg as Depy Agent to the Propr
