former Act. –

Says he believes Mr Edmiston would have possessed the –
living during his life notwithstanding this was a –
temporary Act. –

Robert Alexander Esqr late of Baltimore Town in
Maryland                                Sworn
Says he knows Mr Edmiston exerted himself at the –
commencement of the Troubles to keep his parishioners
to their Allegiance, insomuch that he incurred the
displeasure of the Leaders there – and in Winter of 1774-5
was brought before the Committee of Safety at Baltimore
Town – Says that in consequence of his Exertions in
favour of Government and his Principles of Loyalty he
was obliged to quit the Country.

Preferment
Confirms Mr Edmiston’s Account of mode from whence the
Value of his Living arose, and Says he believes the value of
the living one year with another would amount to abt
270ls Sterling p annum. –

Knew Claimant had lands in Cecil or Baltimore County,
but cant Speak to the Quantity or Value –

Witness was a Member of the Committee before whom
Mr Edmiston was brought, and says he apprehended
