The Memorial of William Lloyd

William Lloyd, distiller, tried to escape to New York in 1776 with other Loyalists but was captured by an American Privateer. He eventually escaped to New York and then England in 1778. 

Some themes his/her Loyalist Claim Commission memorial suggest include confiscation, family experience, industry, military service, and persecution.
