The Memorial of Robert Eden
Robert Eden (1741-1784) was the last colonial governor of Maryland. The claim for his losses is brought by Rev. Jonathan Boucher and William Eddis on his widow’s behalf after his death. They claimed a loss for an unstated number of enslaved people that he held.
Some themes his Loyalist Claim Commission memorial suggest include confiscation and office-holding.
